| Yes. We have been told by the officer in-charged in during an online conference that the MM2H OSC does accept property that was bought prior to their MM2H application submission, and proof of purchase documents (eg. SPA, payment receipt) will be required. |

| How long is the time given for MM2H applicants to fulfill the property purchase requirement? |

| MM2H applicants will be given 1 year upon their MM2H Visa first endorsement to fulfill the requirement. |

| What is the minimum property price for MM2H applicants? |
| |
| Irregardless of the minimum price set by the Silver category of MM2H (MYR 600,000), MM2H applicants will also be restricted by the property purchase price threshold set by each state government in Malaysia. For instance, MM2H applicants who wish to buy property located in Kuala Lumpur will not be able to buy any unit below the cost of RM1,000,000. |

| What does the New Application Fee include? |

| The Application Fee which is set by the government is inclusive of the agency¡¯s Professional Service Fee, Visa Fee, Participation Fee, Medical Check, Health Insurance, Translation Fee(if applicable) for the Principal. Expenses incurred to the any additional dependents are not included. |

| Does MM2H Visa holder considered as Permanent Resident in Malaysia? |

| No. MM2H Visa is only a residential visa which allows holder to live in Malaysia for long term (5-years basis renewal), and it does not change the nationality of the visa holder. |

| After I have got my MM2H Visa, is there any restrictions in the period of stay or minimum days to stay in Malaysia? |

| MM2H Visa holders can come in and out of Malaysia as frequently as they want. However, each application/family has to fulfil a minimum stay of 90 days per year (accumulative). |

| When can I withdraw my fixed deposit? |

| After a period of one year, the participant may withdraw half of his/her fixed deposit for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes OR when he/she decides to terminate his/her MM2H Visa. |

| Do kindergarten level children need Student Visas to attend kindergarten here? |
| |
| Yes, children studying in International School need Student Visa to stay in Malaysia. However dependents under MM2H programme will only need to apply for an additional Study Permit to study in International School. |

| Do I need to pay tax for my offshore income in Malaysia? |
| |
| Overseas income is not taxable in Malaysia although it may be taxable in the country from which is it paid. Some MM2H Visa holder have managed to obtain exemption from their home country taxes on the basis of taking up residence in Malaysia. Any income earned in Malaysia is taxable in Malaysia. |
